COMMUNICATION: Setting up the BAND APP
Over the course of the semester we will be using the BAND app to send out important updates and class/rehearsal videos. Inside the app also contains a full calendar for your child’s Spring Semester.
We require that every student has at least one parent/guardian representative in their classes BAND group. We also highly recommend that any other adult who will be regularly picking up or dropping of your student joins and/or can access the group to receive these updates. Students with cell phones may also be added to their group’s BAND app with permission from parents.
All parent communications will be communicated through the BAND App and can be responded to via comments. If you have a direct question for Mr. Randall, please text him at 504-656-9048.
If for any reason, you are unable to join your child’s BAND group, please email Randall@dancingrounds.org to set up an individual communication plan for your child.
You can also log in and access BAND from a computer!
STEP 2: Click the button for your student’s group to download BAND and go directly to your child’s BAND group.
Regular Dance Class Needs for All Students

YES - joggers, sweats, shorts (not jeans), tank-tops, t-shirts, jerseys, sneakers
NO - jeans, boots, house slippers, open-toed or soft soled shoes
DG Summer Camp and Youth Company students should be prepared to dance barefoot for Modern classes.
6th-8th Grade Summer Camp students will have additional attire needs for Intro to Pre-Professional dance classes.
Health and Wellness Guidelines
Pre-testing is no longer required for students who are unvaccinated against COVID-19.
Masks are optional for all staff, interns and students.
If your child is sick, we ask that you do not send them to programming until they've received a COVID test with negative test results. If your child shows symptoms during camp, families are required to send back a negative test before the child returns to class. Disposable tests are always available at Dancing Grounds
In the event that a teacher, intern or student tests positive for COVID-19, all families will be notified immediately and classes will be canceled for the following class to allow families time to get tested before returning.
Expectations around Attendance
[Youth Company + Summer Camp ONLY]
Please communicate any foreseen absences as soon as you can, so I can communicate with the teachers and they can plan accordingly for class and to help catch your child up once they return.
Any family with a student missing three classes during the semester/program period must have progress check-in with Mr. Randall before being allowed to perform in the Spring performances.
