Paris Cian Williams
Paris Cian Williams is a contemporary and interdisciplinary artist focused on community growth and restoration. She has recently received her BFA/BA in Dance from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. Rooted from New Orleans and raised in Los Angeles, she has studied throughout the United States and Europe. Paris’ creative work has been described as, moving with urgency, meditative, and levitational. Her performative works are grounded in ethnographic research, storytelling, and healing. Her latest work is an exhibition (home in progress), “7522 Becoming Ave.” which premiered at the Eleanor D. Wilson Museum Spring 2018. Currently, she is a Public Allies Americorp Apprentice at Dancing Grounds, working on youth development, leadership capacity, and curating events. Paris will be attending the University of Roehampton in London, United Kingdom fall 2019, working to receive her MFA in Choreography.
