Kesha McKey
Kesha McKey is a teacher, choreographer, and performer with over 20 years of professional experience in New Orleans. She currently serves on the faculty of the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA) and manages the Ashé Cultural Arts Center Kuumba Institute for Youth. Kesha founded KM Dance Project, a New Orleans-based dance theater company that won the 2016 Classical Arts Award for Best Modern Dance Presentation. Kesha received her B.S. from Xavier University of Louisiana and her M.F.A. in Dance Performance from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She has served on the local faculty for the Urban Bush Women Summer Leadership Institute and studied at the Bates Dance Festival, Jacob’s Pillow, Broadway Dance Center, and Celebration Barn Theater.
