Camille Roane
Camille is a storyteller, planner, and producer. As a communications specialist at Red Cypress Consulting she partners with clients, working on the frontlines of progressive change, to craft winning messages. In 2017 she co-founded the Black Girl Giggles Comedy Festival, the first festival in the nation featuring an all Black, all femme, and all funny cast. She went on to found No Lye Comedy, a New Orleans based collective dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black women in comedy. She believes comedy is one of the most efficient ways to expose injustice and that the best comedy challenges oppressive systems. She loves NPR, samba, and secondlines.
